Our Mares - superb temperaments & excellent bloodlines.

Eagleview Skybeau

Eagleview Skybeau (aka Calypso)

Born Nov 1997- (Marvelous Encore X Mt Tawonga Bea), 14'3hh, was the first Morgan we purchased. From a three year old to now being a brood mare, she has accomplished much. Even at the age of three she was a steady, sensible trail horse suitable for a nervous, green rider.

A beautiful story of this marvelous mare. Click HERE to read an amazing tribute.

She had basic training in western reining, and then was taught some dressage, jumping and has learned how to be a Stockhorse as well. She shows the true versatility of the Morgan.

Skybeau was awarded Supreme Champion at the National Morgan Show as a three month old foal and then, at the age of four, she was awarded High Point Pure Bred of the Show.

The colour genetics on this mare are Ee aa, which means she is a black horse hiding a chestnut gene. With our stallion, RanchBoss Cortez (EE Aa CrCrn) she can only give us black, smokey black, bay or buckskin babies. With Ragtime Oro Blanco (Ee Aa CrCr Dn) she can produce smokey black, buckskin, palomino or dunskin.

This mare can produce foals that will be superbly athletic, sensible and suitable to any discipline one desires, as she has shown potential in all arenas. Her cow sense is awesome, she is a winner in the Hack Ring and she loves to jump. She is an awesome mare.

When Calypso had a 'red bag' birth in 2014 when she delivered the stunning smokey black filly, Sassafras, we made the decision that she will never carry another foal herself. We will only do embryo transfer, on demand, with her. We cannot risk losing her or her future foals.

Red Bluff Paprika

Red Bluff Paprika

Born Dec 2002 - (Taproot Messenger X Mt Tawonga Evonne), 14'2hh, has the temperament of the true Morgan.

Read Paprika's story here

Morgans are renowned for being a "thinking" horse, with laid-back natures and Paprika fits this description perfectly. Nothing fazes this mare. Her foals will be suitable for Trail and western disciplines, as they have a lovely smooth way of going.

Paprika has been shown at the National Morgan Show and locally on the Darling Downs and has won her halter classes with ease. She has also been lightly started and her movement is ideal for the western horse. She is as smooth as glass to ride.

This lovely chestnut mare carries the agouti gene (ee Aa) and thus her foals with Cortez will be black, bay, buckskin or smokey black. With Ragtime Oro Blanco she will produce palomino, buckskin, or smokey black.

Paprika has produced babies that are maturing 15hh and above.

Haymeron Park Ruby Jane

Haymeron Park Ruby Jane (aka RJ)

Born Nov 2003 - (Karenza Apollo X Karenza Amethyst), 14'3hh, is a solid bay mare of pure Lippett bloodlines. RJ has been started and has been out to competition where she won her dressage competitions with scores in the 63% range. She has also been shown locally throughout our 2007 show season and has won the Morgan mare classes and Reserve Champion Morgan against a line-up of superb horses.

Read RJ's story here

RJ's movement is free flowing and elastic. She is our one and only Foundation Morgan mare and we look forward to breeding Morgans that will also carry that illustrious title when she is bred to RanchBoss Cortez, our western working Foundation Morgan stallion.

RJ was taken on a trail ride when she was just one week under saddle. This confident, thinking mare strode out ahead of the rest. She trotted and cantered along the unfamiliar track with not one thought to react to any of the usual things a horse may want to run away from.

RJ's colour test tells us she is EE AA which means she can only ever give us bay or buckskin foals with Cortez, and bucksin with Ragtime Oro Blanco (Casper).

This mare produces very typey, eye-catching foals with excellent temperaments to suit any discipline. RJ's 2015 foal by Casper will have a Leambro Stud prefix and she will continue to have foals for them.

RJ as a three year old

Mt Tawonga Natasha

Mt Tawonga Natasha (aka Elle)

Born Oct 1999 - (Marvelous Encore X Mt Tawonga Margaret), 15'1hh, is known in Equestrian Australia circles as Wilga Park Elegance, and, until 2006, was competing at Novice level dressage.

Read Elle's story here

She has won Champion Morgan twice at our local show, Reserve Champion ridden pure Morgan mare at the Australian National Morgan Show and Horse of the Year at a local Dressage group. She is not unfamiliar with collecting ribbons as she manages to place in almost every competition she is in. We were very happy with her results at the Queensland State Championships in her first official season in 2005.

Natasha (known to us as Elegance or Elle) has been colour tested and is Ee Aa which means she can give us black, smokey black, bay, buckskin or palomino foals (palomino from Ragtime Oro Blanco). She will produce foals that will be performance horses with exceptional movement and temperament.

Elle's 2015 foal by Cortez will have a Warrabel Stud prefix and she will continue on to produce foals for them.

Wilga Park Desert Rose

Wilga Park Desert Rose

Born Dec 2009 (RanchBoss Cortez X Wilga Park Tippuhana) - Started by reknowned horseman, Phil Rodey. His comments were that this was a mare 'that could really get some work done'. She is extremely athletic with the perfect blending of sensitivity and sensiblilty.

Desert Rose has great potential as a ridden horse. She has begun her career in Cowboy Dressage.

Desert Rose has already earned her Champion Sashes, beginning at the young age of 15 months old when she was Champion Morgan Mare against a strong line up of older mares at the Toowoomba Royal. She has always been a beautiful eye catching girl.

Desert Rose and Ragtime Oro Blanco (aka Casper) delivered us a stunning palomino colt foal - Wilga Park Desert Storm.

Colour genetics are Ee Aa

Wilga Park Malaynee

Wilga Park Malaynee

Born Sep 2005 -(Karenza Malanion X Eagleview Skybeau) our very first foal, was leased back to us to produce a second generation for Wilga Park.

Malaynee is a 3/4 Lippit and has thrown strongly to the Lippitt Morgan type.

Malaynee's owner, Jane, purchased her before she was born, and has had her started using Parelli methods in 2008.

Malaynee is a highly intelligent mare who has matured at around 14'1, a little smaller than her 14'3hh Dam. She has never had an 'ugly' day in her life. Karenza Malanion, her sire, was a 14'2hh stallion with full Lippitt bloodlines, exhibiting the powerful traits of the original Morgan stallion, Justin Morgan.

Malaynee's name stems from Jane's two children, Melissa and Wayne ... with a twist to the spelling to incorporate Malanion, the sire.

For those interested in colour genetics, Malaynee is classified as Ee Aa. Wilga Park Conquistador (Ee Aa CrCn) and Malaynee can produce black, chestnut, smokey black, palomino, buckskin and bay.

Pelennor Belmarie

Pelennor Belmarie

Born September1996 - (Woodrun Mandrake X Mt Tawonga Tisha) has been leased to us by her very generous owner, Christine Maroni.

Belle's sire, Mandrake, is a full Lippitt Morgan and her dam, Tisha, brought the Government/Sport Morgan lines to the mix.

Bred in Western Australia, Belle has made her way to Queensland with her owner, Christine. Before leaving WA, Belle was in foal to our Cortez. She arrived in the Eastern States and within a few months had delivered her superb smokey black filly, Bella Vista Narda.

Belle had also given her breeder, Pelennor Stud a stunning filly before Christine purchased her.

Belle has unique bloodlines and has produced four beautiful filly foals with Cortez.

Red Bluff Evette

Born January 2006-(Clearwater Black Majesty X Mt Tawonga Evonne) has been leased to us by Jane and Kim Warren for a Cortez foal.

Evette is a homozygous black (EE) mare and has the same dam as Red Bluff Paprika. She has that same unflappable nature as Paprika and we feel she will produce a foal with a superb temperament and possibly a more compact gallaway size.

Evette has been started and has proved to be a very sensible, calm and affable partner. She blends well in our herd and is a not a dominant mare, however, she is self confident in all new situations and accepts the unexpected without the flick of an ear.

Evette and Cortez will produce a homozygous black, a smokey black, a bay or a buckskin.

Mt Tawonga Marrella

Mt Tawonga Marrella

Born Feb 2001 - (Wawayanda Watch Out X Aura Dell Misty), 15hh, was purchased in foal to Mt Tawonga Tarraji and the resulting foal, Wilga Park Tippuhana, has the best attributes of both parents.

This stylish chestnut mare carries the agouti gene (ee Aa) and thus her foals with Cortez will be black, bay, buckskin or smokey black. With Ragtime Oro Blanco she will produce palomino, buckskin, dunskin or smokey black.

Marrella has a lovely ground covering and floating movement, as does Tarraji, and their 2005 foal, Wilga Park Tippuhana, has inherited that movement, along with a sensible and sweet nature that is always willing to please.

Marrella has not been started so we will never know her potential as a riding horse. However, we believe her foals will be testimony to her untried talents.

Marrella has been sold to Rachel Whan of Hodgson Park Morgans in Western Australia to continue her breeding program.
