We were so very excited when we received the email from Patricia Sullivan in Vermont USA to confirm that her Morgan mare 'Snowflake' (Danville Dea) was indeed in foal to Cortez. We are very fortunate to own the frozen semen stored in California prior to Cortez being exported to live with us at Wilga Park. Snowflake is due in June 2013 and is the second American mare to carry a Cortez foal since we have owned the semen.

Nina Farley-Bates (Breeder of Cortez in California USA) was lucky enough to have bred a lovely black son to Cortez from the frozen semen as well.

After a very heartbreaking start to the 2012 foal season with the loss of two beautiful buckskin fillies from our Calypso (Eagleview Skybeau) and her daughter Wilga Park Malaynee (owned by Jane and Kim Warren), we have enjoyed the birth of two gorgeous foals from Red Bluff Paprika (a bay colt) and Haymeron Park Ruby Jane (a brown/bay filly)

See more information on our For Sale page on these two outstanding babies.

The next photos are of the new gorgeous girl, Wilga Park Laelia. Her name fits her sweet, inquisitive personality and her unusual, glittering colour, as well as her brilliant breeding. This baby from Haymeron Park Ruby Jane is a Western Working X Lippitt cross, and is one of the elite group classified as Foundation Morgans. She is one very typey Morgan filly.

RanchBoss Cortez ... the sire of these beautiful babies ... Cortez infuses his kids with his 'willing to please', 'don't worry' attitude. That, mixed with the unique qualities of each of our mares, makes for a great Morgan every time.

We are very excited to welcome Gracious, the big, gentle Standard bred mare to our herd. Gracious is carrying a Calypso (Eagleview Skybeau) foal, due end of September 2013. We hope to be able to do this again, and then have Calypso carry a foal as well. With any luck at all we will have three Calypso babies born in 2013.

Wilga Park Jacobinia has had an outstanding Show Career for a barely three year old Morgan. Lea-anne and Craig Willett have dedicated a wall of their games room to JJ's wonderful accomplishments. The Brag Wall!

Two of JJ's young paddock mates, Wilga Park Lisianthus (Lisi) and Wilga Park Tibouchina (Tibs) are also doing great things with their owners.

Lisa Wong and her friend decided to do some pre-work with Lisi prior to sending her off to be started. Lisi proved to be so easy they got much further than they thought possible. Lara was riding Lisi around the round yard with no lead rope attached within a very short space of time.

Michelle Moller in WA has also had the gratifying experience of starting her Wilga Park baby, Tibouchina. Tibs has been a sensible, easy horse to start as well. Michelle has never attempted to do this before, but felt confident enough to try with Tibs.

We are so very proud of our babies.
