What a busy month!!! The evening before Greg and Cortez and Linda set off on the two day trip to Sydney to perform at Equitana, Haymeron Park Ruby Jane delivered an absolutely exquisite buckskin filly. Photos of this gorgeous filly can be found on our For Sale page and on her very own page - Wilga Park Latte.

On the evening prior to heading into Olympic Park in Sydney, Cortez and Linda presented a Western Dressage demonstration to over 60 Western Dressage enthusiasts at Nila and Andrew Latimer's property north of Sydney. Two of Nila's Morgans were also involved in presenting to the public, one of them being her 3 year old Wilga Park Chancellor. Nila was overjoyed at the total lack of care Chancellor gave the crowd sitting along the long side of her arena. He behaved like a seasoned competitor.

Cortez was a huge success at Equitana. Many visitors to the Breed Village came especially to meet Cortez as they had been admiring him for years. Linda also commented that she had not realised what a National Celebrity Cortez has become until she was with him at Equitana. We are so very proud of him.

It gives us so much pleasure when we receive photos from those who have chosen a Wilga Park Morgan for their equine partner. It is wonderful to keep up with how they are growing, and to enjoy the experiences that are relayed to us from excited, contented owners. Below are some photos they have shared.

Wilga Park Tibouchina (RanchBoss Cortez x Mt Tawonga Marrella) out competing and achieving 77% in Dressage as a 4 year old with Michelle. Wilga Park Serjania (aka Jack) (RanchBoss Cortez x Eagleview Skybeau) is enjoying Adult Riding Club with owner Jan. His younger brother, Santa Cruz, is soon to be started for Jan's daughter, Riley. Wilga Park Tillandsia (RanchBoss Cortez x Mt Tawonga Marrella - Tibouchina's full sister) - above being ridden by Cheryl Gander from Orange Equestrian Club (Tillie's Trainer) and below is Jorjah having her very first ride on her newly started three year old girl. Wilga Park Golden Glory with Tammie Pike on Tam's birthday. Glory is now 5 years old and Tam is really enjoying her time with her.

Our lovely 4 year old mare, Wilga Park Desert Rose, has only just left home to be started. Desert Rose has achieved her Champion ribbons in the show ring and now it's time to see what she can do under saddle. We believe she will be an awesome riding horse. She has inherited beautiful movement from her parents (RanchBoss Cortez x Wilga Park Tippuhana -dec.) Our friend Tammy-Lee Penny's young gelding, Mt Tawonga Sage, will accompany Desert Rose as both are being started by Phil Rodey . They are in very capable hands.

Wilga Park Jacobinia, who was born the same year as Desert Rose, has achieved much in his short time on earth. He is just 4 years old and has achieved in one year what most achieve in three. He has already been awarded the Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals towards his Diamond Award in the Dilute classes. As proud owners, Craig and Lea-anne Willett, said - 'We will go out next year and bring the Diamond Award home.' It is a lifetime recognition of a horses success in the show ring, and we are extremely proud that one of our babies has achieved so much with such dedicated owners.

3/4 of the way to the Diamond Award - Bronze, Silver and Gold achieved already.

We continue to enjoy the company of some great people as they drop in to meet the foals. The foals are such 'Time Spenders!' Hours can slip by when we spend time with them. They are so very engaging.

Wilga Park Castelao is not quite a year old. We decided it was time for him to experience a bath. He accepted the hosing without worry. As soon as he stops his speedy growth spurt, we might be able to obtain some more attractive shots of him. He really is a gorgeous boy, but as a gangly, uneven yearling, he is not showing his true colours.

Tammy-Lee introduced the water to Castelao

Castelao was pretty cool about the whole process

Until next time ....
